About Charlotte

Charlotte's journey as a composer has been enriched by her diverse musical influences. Her work spans various media, blending styles and creating memorable scores deeply in tune with each story and its characters. Charlotte believes that writing a score is a great deal to do with empathy. 'By having a deeper understanding of the characters, their motives and also the reaction of those around them, including the audience, you let the music weave into and alongside their story. Scores should embellish and inspire.'

Charlotte began her musical career performing throughout London with her band and working alongside artists such as Stewart Jackson (Massive Attack) and Ian Matthews (Kasabian). Since then, Charlotte has gone on to become half of internationally acclaimed group ‘Hybrid’ and has collaboratively worked on numerous film and game scores including Total Recall, the Fast and Furious franchise, Ghost Recon and Driveclub. 

As a successful artist in her own right, Charlotte spent two years as Music Producer on Mozart movie ‘Interlude in Prague’, co-ordinating the entire musical elements of the film, from on-set performers to the final orchestral and operatic performances with one of those pieces since used in the movie Wonder Woman. Charlotte also co-wrote the film’s score with Michael Truman, as part of Hybrid and acted as music editor, even providing the voice for the final operatic scene of the film.  

As a songwriter, Charlotte’s has written on three of Hybrid’s artist albums, they are currently working on album 7, and has written songs for the end of films such as, Deep Fear, Billionaire Ransom (Take Down) and Dead In Tombstone 1 & 2.

This year, as duo ‘Hybrid’, Charlotte has co-written the score for Sam Mendes’ harrowing documentary ‘What They Found’. 

Most recently, Charlotte has written and produced the score for critically acclaimed BBC documentary ‘Unforgotten: The Bradford City Fire’ Which tells the story first-hand from survivors of the tragedy where 56 people lost their lives in a tragic fire in the stands at Bradford City Football Club in 1985. (Directed by Andrew Worboys and produced by Jaimie D’Cruz, ACME).  

Charlotte works from her studio on her farm in Worcestershire. She’s a huge animal lover and currently has a couple of pygmy goats and two baby emus living in her barn.
